Tax Exempt Policy and Procedure

Are you Tax Exempt? 

Most of the 50 U.S. states issue tax-exempt numbers, permits or certificates to farms in an effort to encourage agriculture.  We recognize many of our customers have a sales tax exemption.  If you have a tax exempt status and would like us to remove your sales tax liability from your order, please email your tax exempt certificate issued by your state to AReceivable@agjunction.com.

If you are in one of the following states:

Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Washington D.C., Wisconsin.

Customers placing their online order via HandsFreeFarm.com have 2 business days from the date of purchase to send all appropriate tax exempt documents to AgJunction for approval. AgJunction has 2 business days to process and approve your tax exempt status and complete your order. If valid documentation is not received within 4 business days the order will be processed without the tax exemption, on the 5th business day.
